Recent Autumn Buys

As I look out of my window,i can see a gloomy afternoon with the leaves starting to fall of the  trees and the frosty mornings coming our way .......

Autumn is approaching.i cannit wait for the days to draw in and the days get colder.

My house over looks a local park so when I open my curtains every morning I can see the seasons unwinding !

I was in need of some new clothes ,putting away my summer clothes for another day.

So I took a trip to new look and this  is what I got -

Recently I have been obsessing over loose baggy tees I have a couple from H&M and when I saw this  grey leather number in new look for only £9.99 I couldn't resist.i love the gold zip detailing On the back and the leather trim around the collar,it adds a more dressy effect

Checks are all over the catwalk this  seasons and I love wearing blacks,grey and white in the Colder months.this checked shirts was £17.99 and it's so easy to wear where with jeans or around the waist 

 

A good pair of boots are essential and these Chelsea boots with a slight heel will get a lot of use,they will look great with a dress and black tights or tucked in to skinny jeans

These aren't from new look -Schuh £45

But I felt I had to add because they are my go to shoes and I recently bought a black pair and  will go fab with my new tops

New look have some great autumn/winter clothes as well as H&M

KINDLE

Reading is fantastic,you get to zone out of your life for a little while and have your life become a fantasy.You can forget about any troubles you may have and dissolve into a book of your choice.

Since a child I have always enjoyed reading,so last year I decided to buy a Kindle.They are perfect for people who travel a lot.Or people like me who just love to read.There ideal to fit in handbags, without taking up the room a giant 500 pager would.

On my Summer Vacation this year I read 5 books on my kindle.There's nothing worse  for me than finishing your book on Holiday and not having an extra,with a kindle it didn't matter I just used the wifi and downloaded more.

I am going to share with you a list of my favourite books that I have on my kindle

Abbi Glines - I am obsessed with her books and I think I have read  most  of her series.There the perfect girly read and I only wish they were made into films.

John green - Most people know John Green from his major motion picture film that came out this summer I believe. 'the fault in our stars', i read the book before but i still found it amazing and i did shed a few tears

John Green has a great collection of novels but i only have two

i am slowly adding to my John green collection and hope to read paper towns and BTW i have heard that Cara delevingne who is unbelievably cool and stunning is going to star in the paper towns movie.

 shes just so effortless and gorgeous and she doesn't even have to try to be  :(

John green is having a fantastic year.

 i've only just realized that most of my books on my kindle are by Abbi Glines.i think its time for me to widen my reading selection and go a little further ....................or not i just read what i like.

i dementedly suggest a Kindle to any one who is hesitating towards one,i wouldn't live without mine now !

TANYA BURR NAIL POLISH

By now I'm sure most of you have heard about Tanya Burrs beauty range : including nail polish and lip glosses.
I  enjoy wearing darker colors in the autumn/winter,my nail polish collection was obviously lacking ! so I decided to buy some more.These were my favourites that I picked out from her collection.

They are both great colors however the peaches & cream isn't really for me,but I just fancied a change.Penguin chic on the other hand I adore and it will probably be my autumn/winter go to polish.

The lid was a little difficult to remove and I found, that the square lid came off and the brush was a little frayed,but was still easy to work with.

The formula is great though,I got an even opaque look with two coats.The nail polish lasted a good 4 days with no top coat before it started to chip.

Overall I am impressed with the Tanya Burr products and will look out for any new additions

How To update your Room ?

Every now and then I get bored of my room and  it would be super expensive to decorate the whole room, so here is a few ways  I updated my room to keep me happy and change into Autumn ......

1. Get rid of your stuff  - Go through all of your things and decided what you really need in your room.Be honest and think do i really need this ? Give some things to charity or younger relatives .Ebay is a good place to sell some of your clothes.You'll be surprised how much space this gives you!

2.Update your furniture - Do you  need a new bed ,wardrobes or cabinets ? You don't always need to buy new furniture,painting them is a cheaper alternative 

                           

3.Change your bedding - Get a new comforter and duvet set this will make a big difference to your room,you can stay with  a colour scheme or go as crazy as you like 

                         

4.Get some throw pillows - Pillows can change your whole room , I decided to go for a gold and grey scheme

5.Get some lighting - IKEA do some really cool lights/lamps and they are a reasonable price too which is a  bonus.Having a bedside lamp will make the atmosphere super cosy 

                               

    

6.Update your wall decor - I think mirrors are great and they can also make the room look bigger.Add some picture frames or why not make your own photo wall.Pinterest is awesome for inspiration 

                       

7.Add personal touches - This is my favourite autumn Candle,candles make a relaxed atmosphere and smell great too.

The Autumn Tag

Autumn is approaching and I am so excited.There's something about autumn that I love maybe the cosy nights in or the countdown to Halloween and Christmas.

So as all I can think about is autumn I am going to do an autumnal tag.

1.  OK we're talking coffee's - what's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?

I don't even have to think about this questions as my answer is' Starbucks spiced pumpkin latte' all the way and when it came out last week I obviously had to get one 

 2.  Accessories - what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?

I go for boots and scarfs as there are so many designs and I love wearing my River Island black ankle boots with tights and a dress and a scarf to finish the look.

 3.  Music - what's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?

My music doesn't really change through out the seasons apart from December when I love a good old Christmas song.

4.Perfume - whats your favourite scent for this time of year ?

 I have a selection of perfumes, I wear all year round but in the colder months I tend to use my Alien perfume as its more warming.

5.Candles -what scents will you be burning this season?

Currently I have already started my candle and its name sold me  - fall blends vanilla + pumpkin soy based candle and it's from for.every.body and I purchased it from Tkmax,it smells amazing 


6.What do you love most about autumn?

 Everything ! I love cosy nights in with my blanket and my doggy.Eating home cooking - stew and dumplings or  soup which just make you feel warm and hearty.I love having a lush bath and the lead up to my birthday and Christmas.There is just so much I adore about autumn but I cant explain.
 

 7.Favourite makeup look ?

 In summer I tend to keep my makeup quite natural and light so in autumn I love a smokey eye and a darker shade lipstick/gloss.

8.What are you looking forward to most in autumn?

Afternoon walks with the family and doggy in parks watching the leaves fall ,having cosy nights in with a bubble bath and candles and being able to have my  favourite pumpkin spiced latte

Afternoon Tea

I love afternoon tea and whats even greater is that we were on a boat on the Thames,so whilst we were enjoying our miniature macaroons we had a great view outside too.

It was such a beautiful Sunday,the sun was shining and the birds were singing......

The boat was set out really nice and after everyone was seated the staff came round and offered tea or coffee,other refreshments were also available.

Then they came round each table with the food stands,it all looked so cute and I wish I had taken more pictures but we were too excited to tuck in.

We had a selection of sandwiches from cheese and pickle to smoked salmon and cream cheese.I am personally a huge  sweet person so I was waiting for the next tier which was an assortment of miniature desserts - macaroons,choux pastry treats.

Then on the top was the scones which make the afternoon tea and they were served with jam and clotted cream yummy !

I adored how everything was  laid out super nice and the food was miniature.

We had an hour and a half on the cruise so once we had finished eating out tea,we decided to head up stairs and have a look at our surroundings.It was amazing as we got to see so much of Londons architect as shown in some of my pictures we saw the shard which is indeed very high,tower and London bridge and we went past the London eye.

I had a great day with my family and it will be a day to remember.We booked with city cruises and I highly recommend the trip.

August Favourites

I can't wait for autumn i adore everything about it -  burning candles,blankets and all the  autumn colours not forgetting  Starbucks pumpkin spiced latte ........

I didn't have to many favourites this month , however I went on vacation to Santorini so that is one of my favourites

 First up , I am in love with converse they are my go to  shoes and I get a lot of use out of my few pairs, so I thought why not buy a black pair. You can't really go wrong with a black pump.
Also if you have a student card you get 10% off at Schuh !

I worship this bracelet,Michael Kors is a brilliant brand and their rose gold jewerelly is my absolute favourite.i wore this bangle every day on my holiday and it was £89 but looks way more expensive.

Floral print trousers are something I never thought would suit me ,anyhow these Dorothy Perkins ones are great.the pattern is not to in your face and they are  super comfy.this summer I have been trying to wear clothes I wouldn't  normally wear and  coming out of my comfort zone slightly.

Do you ever get bored of your room? Well I do and one day I decided I wanted to spruce my bedroom up a little and  I think throw pillows are a great way of gradually adding a theme/colour into  the room. This pillow is from Next and  looks lovey on my bed

Santorini Room Tour

I recently got back from my Family vacation to Santorini Greece! It felt so amazing to be in the place that you see in magazines,postcards  and dream of going too.

The island did not disappoint,was even more stunning than in postcards and the island is so laid back and full of loved up couples.

We stayed in Kamari which is an upmarket town, on Santorinis east coast which is a combination of old school Greek and sophisticated.

I loved my stay at my hotel as the building looks traditional Santorini style.

However I walked into our suite my words were 'wow' .It was amazing, when we arrived the lady at reception told us that they had built a new block of rooms and we were given two suites on our own floor.

our vacation lasted for 10 days and I could have stayed for a lot longer the hotel was probably one of the nicest I have stayed in.The building and rooms were brand new so everything was spotless and the staff couldn't have been more helpful,they cleaned the rooms everyday.We also had a balcony with fab views.

The hotel was perfect and I had an awesome vacation,I will definitely  go back to Santorini again as it is an amazing place with breathtaking views and architect.
